PERFORMANCE FEE
All cast members will be required to pay a PERFORMANCE FEE of £75.00. This is reduced to £50.00 for members of Shine Youth Music Theatre.
STUDIOS
All meetings, rehearsals, auditions and workshops take place in our studios: The Lighthouse, Neidpath Road, Castlehill Industrial Estate, Carluke, ML8 5UF.

Our purpose-built centre includes 4 rehearsal studios, studio theatre, offices, workshops, and coffee shop.
Â
Travel by car – approximately 30 minutes (20 miles) from Glasgow City Centre.
Travel by train – Carluke Station is a 20-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride away.Â

Applicants should be prepared to attend all events listed below.
ACTORS 16 AND UNDER
We will be casting a small group of YOUNG ACTORS under 16 to feature in the ensemble.
Â
Those under 16 should not attend the Information Event or auditions and workshops.
Â
Information for under 16s will be communicated at a later date.
REHEARSALS
INFORMATION EVENT 16+
Sunday 1st September 11.00am - 1.00pm
An Information Event for those 16+ will be held on Sunday 1st September from 11.00am-1.00pm in The Lighthouse.
We will share our vision for this new production and give details including characters, casting, auditions, rehearsals and much more.
Attendees will also take part in a vocal and movement session and therefore should dress accordingly with appropriate footwear for movement.
OPEN AUDITIONS
Tuesday 3rd, Thursday 5th from 6.30pm or Sunday 8th September from 11.00am
We are seeking ACTORS 16+ to star in lead roles, featured roles and ensemble. All roles are open to actors of all backgrounds, genders, and ethnicities.
Open Auditions for ACTORS 16+ will be held as follows:
• TUESDAY 3rd SEPTEMBER | THE LIGHTHOUSE | 6.30-9.30pm (hourly slots)
• THURSDAY 5th SEPTEMBER | THE LIGHTHOUSE | 6.30-9.30pm (hourly slots)
• SUNDAY 8th SEPTEMBER | THE LIGHTHOUSE | from 11.00am (hourly slots)

AN AUDITION FEE OF £15.00 IS PAYABLE UPON REGISTRATION. BOOKINGS WILL OPEN FOLLOWING THE INFORMATION EVENT
Audition outcomes will be emailed to the address you provide. Unfortunately, feedback will not be provided.
If progressing to the next stage of casting, you will be invited to attend a CALLBACK WORKSHOP.
OPEN AUDITION MATERIALS - ADULT ROLES 16+
PREPARATION FOR AUDITIONS:
• All audition materials (lyrics, tracks, dialogue) can be accessed HERE
• You should prepare at least two pieces from the list which best reflect your performing skills.
• Performance backing tracks provided should be used for auditions.
• You may be asked to read one or more dialogue scenes as part of your audition.
• Be prepared to be cast at the discretion of the director and audition panel.
CALLBACK WORKSHOPS
CALLBACK WORKSHOPS involve more in-depth work with attendees including movement, acting and singing based on Titanic. During the workshops there will be a selection process undertaken by the Production Team. You may be asked to attend both workshops. Those successful will then be invited to proceed to CALLBACK AUDITIONS.
